There is a saying that the heavier the tap, the better quality it is. Is that true?
It is actually true that the biggest weight part of every tap consists of its body. However, the endurance of a tap depends on the consistence of the casting, casting technology, casting shapes and the evenness of the wall thickness of casting, rather than the weight itself.
The consistence of casting materials ensures that the materials distribute evenly and that the metal won‘t crack in its operation because of the chemical processes (such as corrosion, oxidation, etc.). Certain components, such as Fe (iron), Sn (tin), Al (aluminum) are very dangerous to exceed, since even such small exceeding as for example 0,1% could cause a crack to the tap body, while using it. This is why it is so important to ensure the quality and consistence of raw materials.
We must not forget casting technologies, since this is the only way to guarantee that there will be no microporous gaps is gravitational casting method. It‘s very important to make the casting reach every cavity of the shape, while being casted, in a very short time. Thus, in order to ensure highest quality possible, it is essential to design casting shape properly and choose the liquid casting feed points correctly. The catering shapes, including the outer one (shaping the product‘s exterior) as well as the inner one (shaping the product‘s interior) should be made very carefully, so that the thickness of the walls of the body would be the same in all spots and exceed 2.5 mm

How the assemblage of water taps goes in RUBINETA? How many taps are made every day?
Rubineta uses 2 steps product assemblage technology. In the first one, the taps are assembled and every tap is tested 100%. In the second one, the final completing and packing is made, depending on the actual exact order from the Customer. At the moment, Rubineta makes and presents its customers about 3 to 4 thousand taps every working day.

Shower heads, stands, hoses (further – shower goods) production is a very specific niche, that requires significant investments into quality shapes and production equipment.
